Pasta Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (spaghetti or penne)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • to taste Grated Parmesan cheese (for serving)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Cooking

  • Stir in diced tomatoes, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Let the sauce simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to combine with the sauce.

Serving

  • Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in the microwave or on the stove.
