Ingredients

For the Burger Mixture

  • 1.5 lb ground chuck Use quality ground chuck for best flavor and texture.
  • 3 Tbsp sour cream
  • 2 Tbsp ranch dressing mix Can substitute with other seasoning blends.
  • cup cooked and crumbled bacon Feel free to experiment with bacon alternatives like ground sausage.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

For Serving

  • Hamburger buns Toast for extra crispiness.
  • Lettuce, tomato For topping.
  • Mustard, mayo For topping.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine the ground chuck, sour cream, ranch dressing mix, crumbled bacon, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until everything is well combined. Don't overmix the meat to avoid tough burgers.
  • Form the mixture into 6 hamburger patties, making them even in size and thickness for uniform cooking. Press a small dimple in the center of each patty before grilling.
  • Wet your hands with cold water before forming the patties to prevent sticking.

Grilling

  • Grill the patties to your desired doneness over medium heat, flipping carefully.
  • Check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer: 130-135°F for medium-rare, 140-145°F for medium, and 160°F for well-done.
  • Preheat the grill or skillet beforehand and let the burgers rest for a few minutes after grilling.

Serving

  • Serve the burgers on your favorite hamburger buns topped with lettuce, tomato, mustard, and mayo.
  • Offer a variety of toppings and condiments for personalization.

Notes

If you have leftovers, store the patties in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat them on the stove or in the microwave. For longer storage, freeze uncooked patties wrapped in plastic wrap.
