Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Baking powder Distributes evenly for fluffy loaf
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 cup Orange juice Fresh juice preferred
  • 1 cup Fresh cranberries, chopped Can use frozen if necessary
  • Zest of 1 Orange zest Enhances flavor

Glaze

  • 1 cup Powdered sugar For glaze
  • 2 tablespoons Orange juice

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a regular loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the melted butter, eggs, and orange juice.
  • Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined.
  • Fold in the chopped cranberries and orange zest.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.

Baking

  • Place your loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for about 60-70 minutes.
  • Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center; it should come out clean.

Finishing Touches

  • While the bread cools, whisk together the powdered sugar and orange juice until smooth to make the glaze.
  • Once the bread is cool, drizzle the glaze over the top.
  • Slice and serve, optionally with butter or just plain.

Notes

For added flavor, include a teaspoon of vanilla extract in the wet ingredients. Ensure all components are at room temperature for best results. Store leftovers wrapped tightly in plastic or foil.
