For the Lasagna Noodles

  • 8 pieces lasagna noodles Cooked according to package instructions

Preparation and Cooking

  • Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  • In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, and sauté until translucent.
  • Add the ground beef or sausage and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  • Stir in the broth and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for about 10 minutes.
  • Stir in the heavy cream, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese. Mix until melted and combined.
  • Chop the lasagna noodles and add them to the soup. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serving

  • Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Add Italian seasoning or red pepper flakes for a kick. Feel free to include other vegetables for added nutrition. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3 to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
