  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 8 ounces bowtie pasta
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1/2 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Add chopped onion and garlic to the skillet. Sauté until onion is soft and garlic is fragrant.
  • Stir in the tomato paste and cook for 1 minute.
  • Reduce heat to medium-low. Add cream cheese and stir until fully melted.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and beef broth. Stir to combine into a smooth sauce.
  • Meanwhile, cook bowtie pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and reserve 1/4 cup pasta water.
  • Add cooked pasta to the skillet. Mix well to coat in the sauce.
  • Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Add a splash of reserved pasta water if needed. Serve warm.

Notes

Serve hot with a side of green salad or garlic bread. For added flavor, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
