  • 1.5 lbs beef stew meat or sirloin tips Use quality meat for better taste.
  • 1 tbsp olive oil For searing the beef.
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced Fresh mushrooms are recommended.
  • 1 small onion, diced Adds flavor to the dish.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced For enhanced flavor.
  • 2 tbsp flour For thickening the gravy.
  • 1.5 cups beef broth Can substitute with vegetable broth for a vegetarian option.
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream For richness in the gravy.
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce Adds depth of flavor.
  • Salt & pepper, to taste Adjust according to preference.
  • Chopped parsley For garnish.

Preparation

  • Heat oil in a skillet. Brown beef tips on all sides, then remove and set aside.
  • In the same pan, sauté onions and mushrooms until softened. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  • Sprinkle flour over veggies, stir for 1 minute. Slowly whisk in broth and Worcestershire sauce.

Cooking

  • Return beef to the pan. Cover and simmer for 45–60 minutes until tender.
  • Stir in heavy cream and simmer uncovered for 5 more minutes. Garnish with parsley and serve hot!

Notes

Let the beef tips cool to room temperature before storing leftovers. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in a skillet, adding a splash of beef broth if needed for creaminess. Can add carrots and peas for extra veggies.
