Ingredients
  

Chicken Preparation

  • 1 lb chicken breasts Cut in half lengthwise
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • to taste Garlic powder

Sauce and Vegetables

  • 3 tbsp butter For the roux
  • 3 tbsp flour For the roux
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 tsp each of salt, pepper, oregano, and thyme
  • 1 tsp each of paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder
  • 12 oz frozen mixed vegetables

Noodles and Cream

  • 8-10 oz egg noodles Boil according to package directions
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Preparation

  • Cut the chicken breasts in half lengthwise to make them thinner.
  • Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

Cooking

  • In a skillet over medium heat, add 3 tablespoons of butter and 3 tablespoons of flour. Stir well until a roux is made.
  • Pour in 2 cups of chicken broth and stir well. Season with salt, pepper, oregano, thyme, paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder.
  • When the mixture starts bubbling, add the frozen mixed vegetables and the seasoned chicken to the skillet.
  • Boil the egg noodles according to the package directions.
  • Ensure the chicken is covered in the gravy, cover the skillet with a lid, and reduce heat to medium-low.
  • Cook for 12-15 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees.
  • Shred the chicken with forks or chop it into cubes, then stir in the heavy cream.
  • Add the cooked egg noodles, mix everything together, and enjoy your delicious meal!

Notes

Serve hot right from the pan, garnished with fresh parsley for added flavor and color. Pairs well with crusty bread or a side salad. For extra flavor, consider marinating the chicken beforehand.
