Preparation

  • Season the chicken breasts on both sides with salt and pepper.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once it’s hot, gently add the chicken breasts.
  • Sear the chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.

Making the Sauce

  • In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and stir well to combine with the garlic.
  • Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until it melts and becomes a smooth sauce.
  • Toss in the Italian seasoning and mix it all together.

Combining

  • Bring the chicken back into the skillet and ensure each breast is well coated in the creamy sauce.
  • Let the chicken simmer in the sauce for a couple of minutes to meld the flavors.
  • Serve warm, garnished with freshly chopped parsley.

Notes

For an even crispier chicken, consider coating it with a little flour before searing. Keep an eye on the heat while sautéing the garlic to avoid burning it. You can personalize the dish by experimenting with additional herbs and spices like thyme or cajun seasoning.
