  • 8 ounces fettuccine pasta This is the star of the dish! It holds onto that creamy sauce wonderfully.
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined Fresh shrimp really elevates this dish. You can also use frozen.

Sauce Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream This makes the sauce luscious and rich.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Perfect for sautéing the shrimp and adding a depth of flavor.
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved They add a pop of sweetness and color to the dish.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Because who doesn’t love the aroma of garlic cooking?
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning A blend of flavors that brings it all together.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese This cheese adds an irresistible richness!
  • salt and pepper Essential for bringing out all the flavors.
  • fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish) A finishing touch that adds both flavor and presentation.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions until just al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic for about a minute until fragrant.

Cooking

  • Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and are cooked through.
  • Add the halved cherry tomatoes and Italian seasoning, and cook for another 2 minutes.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and stir gently to combine everything.
  • Gradually mix in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted.
  • Add the cooked fettuccine and toss to coat the pasta in the creamy sauce.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Optionally, add a squeeze of lemon juice.
  • Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
