Ingredients
  

Meat

  • 1 lb chicken sausage, sliced
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced

Pasta & Sauce Base

  • 12 oz rotini or penne pasta
  • 1 cup pepper jack cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • for garnish Chopped parsley Optional

Instructions
 

Cooking the Pasta

  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Cooking the Meat and Sauce

  • In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced chicken sausage and cook until browned.
  • Add diced chicken breasts to the pan and cook until fully cooked through.
  • Stir in minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in heavy cream, and add shredded pepper jack cheese. Stir until the cheese melts and the sauce is creamy.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Combining and Serving

  • Combine cooked pasta with the sauce, tossing well to coat.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve hot.

Notes

To save time, cook the pasta while you prepare the meat and sauce. If you like it spicier, add some red pepper flakes or diced jalapeños. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3 to 5 days. Reheat with a splash of cream or water to maintain creaminess.
