Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add the finely chopped onion. Cook for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add ground beef, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Cook until the beef is browned, about 5-7 minutes, and drain excess fat.
  • Stir in Worcestershire sauce, beef broth, and sour cream. Mix well and bring to a gentle simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Fold the cooked egg noodles into the beef and sauce mixture.
  • Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  • Top with shredded cheese.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Consider adding fresh herbs like parsley or thyme for extra flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.
