Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Steak (cut into bite-sized pieces) Use uniform pieces for even cooking.
  • 1 packet Au jus gravy mix This adds flavor to the dish.
  • 1 Onion (chopped)
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup Beef stock
  • 2 tablespoons Butter Adds richness to the dish.
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

For serving

  • Noodles or mashed potatoes Serve as a base for the steak bites.

Preparation

  • In a crockpot, combine the steak bites, au jus gravy mix, chopped onion, minced garlic, and beef stock.
  • Add a few tablespoons of butter for richness.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the steak is tender.

Serving

  • Serve over a bed of noodles or mashed potatoes, or enjoy on its own.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to a month. Reheat in microwave or on the stove.
