Main ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef Can substitute with lean ground turkey.
  • 1/2 cup minced onion
  • 4 large flour tortillas Can use whole wheat or corn tortillas for a twist.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Feel free to use different types of cheese.
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • 1 piece crispy tostada shell Can substitute with crushed tortilla chips.
  • Sour cream Optional, for serving.
  • Taco seasoning Optional, can enhance flavor.
  • Cooking oil For frying.

Instructions
 

Cooking the Beef

  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and onion until the meat is browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Add taco seasoning if desired.

Assembling the Wrap

  • On a large flour tortilla, layer the seasoned beef, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and a crispy tostada.
  • Fold the edges of the tortilla towards the center to create a wrap.

Cooking the Wrap

  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and place the wrap seam-side down.
  • Cook until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Serving

  • Serve hot with sour cream.

Notes

To store leftovers, let them cool completely, wrap in plastic wrap, or store in an airtight container. It can be kept in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat on the skillet for a few minutes on each side until heated through.
