Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups peeled, chopped apples Use firm apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, eggs, apples, and vanilla.
  • Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed, being careful not to overmix.

Baking

  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Enjoy warm or at room temperature. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for an extra treat. Wrap tightly for storage, keeping fresh for up to 3 days at room temperature or up to a week in the fridge.
