Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Boneless, skinless chicken breasts

For the Gravy

  • 1 packet Chicken gravy mix
  • 1 cup Chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper To taste
  • Optional: fresh herbs (like rosemary) To taste

  • Optional: mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles For serving

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Take the boneless, skinless chicken breasts out of the package. Rinse and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the chicken gravy mix and chicken broth. Mix well until blended. Add fresh or dried herbs if desired.
  • Lay the chicken breasts flat in the bottom of the crockpot.
  • Pour the gravy mixture over the chicken, ensuring each piece is covered.
  • Season the chicken with salt and pepper as per your taste.

Cooking

  • Cover the crockpot and cook it on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours.
  • Check for doneness; the chicken should easily shred with a fork when cooked.

Serving

  • Serve the chicken over a bed of mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles.
  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for future meals.

Notes

Consider using a meat thermometer to check for doneness; it should read at least 165°F. Experiment with spices to add your variations.
