Ingredients
  

For the crust

  • 1 package Yellow cake mix Use any flavor of your choice.
  • 1/2 cup Butter, melted Ensure butter is melted for easy mixing.
  • 1 unit Egg Add to the crust mixture.

For the filling

  • 8 oz Cream cheese, softened Use room temperature for smooth mixing.
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar Sifted for best results.
  • 2 unit Eggs Add to the filling mixture.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, melted butter, and one egg. Mix well to create a crust.
  • In another bowl, beat together the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Add the eggs and mix until creamy.
  • Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust in your baking dish.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes.
  • Once done, take the bars out and allow them to cool.
  • Slice into squares and serve. Enjoy your delicious ooey gooey bars!

Notes

Serve at room temperature or slightly chilled. Dust with powdered sugar or pair with ice cream or whipped cream. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze bars well to prevent freezer burn.
