Preparation

  • Gather your ingredients and set them out on your kitchen counter.
  • In a large bowl, combine all-purpose flour, instant yeast, salt, and sugar. Mix well.
  • Pour warm water into the dry mixture, ensuring it is not too hot.
  • Mix until the dough begins to come together.
  • Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 8-10 minutes.
  • Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl and cover with a clean towel. Let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  • After an hour, punch down the dough gently.
  • Shape the deflated dough into a loaf.
  • Place the shaped dough in a greased bread pan. Cover it with the towel and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  • During the second rise, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Bake the bread for 30-35 minutes until golden and sounds hollow when tapped.
  • Allow it to cool before slicing.

Notes

To store leftovers, wrap the cooled bread in plastic wrap or aluminum foil and store in the pantry. For longer storage, slice the bread and freeze it.
