Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup milk Almond milk or coconut milk can be used for a healthier option.
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil Can substitute with coconut oil.
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the milk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and egg.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.

Baking

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool slightly, then serve with hot coffee.

Notes
