  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract Adds flavor depth.
  • 1 cup Chocolate Peppermint Kisses Use fresh, high-quality chocolate kisses.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Mix in the vanilla extract until just combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture in three parts, mixing until just combined.
  • Roll small portions of dough into 1-inch balls and place them on a lined baking sheet.
  • Use your thumb to create a well in the center of each ball.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until set but still soft in the center.
  • Immediately press a chocolate peppermint kiss into each indentation after removing from the oven.
  • Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  • Serve and enjoy with friends and family.

Notes

For extra festive flair, consider adding a sprinkle of crushed candy canes or chocolate shavings on top of the kisses.
