  • 4 pieces Chicken thighs or breasts Use bone-in for more flavor.
  • 1 can Cream of mushroom soup Can substitute with cream of chicken soup.
  • 1 packet Onion soup mix
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • To taste Salt and pepper Season generously.

Optional Vegetables

  • As desired Vegetables (e.g., carrots, potatoes) These can be added around the chicken.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, onion soup mix, and water. Stir until smooth.
  • Place chicken in a baking dish and season with salt and pepper.
  • Pour the creamy soup mixture over the chicken.
  • If using, add vegetables such as carrots or potatoes around the chicken.
  • Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil.

Cooking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 60 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes for a crispy top.
  • Check the chicken for doneness; it should reach 165°F in the thickest part.
  • Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra crispy skin, switch to broil for the last few minutes of baking. Letting the chicken rest before serving enhances the juiciness.
