  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil For sautéing the green beans.

Preparation

  • Rinse the green beans under cool water to remove any dirt and trim the ends.

Blanching

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Cook the green beans for about 3-4 minutes.
  • Transfer the beans to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process.

Toasting Pine Nuts

  • Toast the pine nuts in a skillet over medium heat for about 3-5 minutes until golden brown.

Sautéing Green Beans

  • In the same skillet, heat the olive oil and sauté the green beans for 2-3 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and drizzle with lemon juice, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.

Combining Ingredients

  • Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the green beans and mix until the cheese slightly melts.
  • Toss in the toasted pine nuts.

Serving

  • Transfer to a serving platter and enjoy garnished with extra Parmesan, if desired.

Notes
