  • 4 pieces Chicken pieces Mix of thighs and drumsticks recommended for more flavor.
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 2 large Eggs Beaten with salt and pepper.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Added to the egg mixture.
  • Oil for frying Oil for frying Heat to 375°F (190°C).

Preparation

  • Heat oil in a deep fryer or large skillet to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a bowl, mix flour with garlic salt, paprika, and pepper.
  • In another bowl, beat eggs with salt and pepper.

Cooking

  • Dredge chicken pieces in the flour mixture, then dip in the egg, and coat with the flour again.
  • Fry the chicken pieces for 22 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Drain on paper towels before serving.

Notes

Fried chicken is best served hot, plain or with your favorite dipping sauces. For extra crunch, double-dip the chicken in flour and egg during preparation. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
