Main Ingredients

  • 8 pieces Chicken pieces Thighs, drumsticks, or a mix.
  • 2 cups Flour All-purpose flour.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper Black pepper.
  • 2 large Eggs Beaten.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 quart Oil for frying Vegetable or canola oil recommended.

Preparation

  • Heat oil in a frying pan to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a bowl, season flour with garlic salt, paprika, and pepper.
  • In another bowl, beat eggs and season with salt and pepper.
  • Dredge the chicken pieces in the seasoned flour, then dip them in the egg, and coat again with flour.

Cooking

  • Fry the chicken in hot oil for 22 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove from oil and drain on paper towels before serving.

Notes

Fried chicken is best served hot and crispy. Pair it with sides like mashed potatoes, coleslaw, or corn on the cob. Don’t forget to add some dipping sauces like hot sauce or ranch for extra flavor. If you have leftovers, allow them to cool completely before storing in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
