  • 4 large potatoes Peeled and diced.
  • 1 large onion Sliced thinly.
  • 2 pieces smoked Polish sausages Cut into bite-sized pieces.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For frying.

Preparation

  • Peel and dice the potatoes into small cubes.
  • Slice the onion thinly.
  • Cut the Polish sausages into bite-sized pieces.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add the diced potatoes and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until they start to soften.
  • Add the onions and sausages to the skillet.
  • Continue to cook for another 10-15 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden brown and cooked through.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and any additional spices if desired.
  • Serve hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding some garlic powder or paprika to the seasoning. Make sure not to overcrowd the skillet so that the potatoes can crisp up nicely. For a healthier version, you can use less oil or substitute with cooking spray. To store leftovers, let the dish cool completely, then place it in an airtight container. Store it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, simply warm it in a skillet over medium heat until heated through.
