Ingredients
  

For the Garlic Butter

  • 2 tbsp softened butter Ensure butter is at room temperature for easy spreading.
  • 0.5 tbsp garlic powder

For the Sandwich

  • 4 slices bread (preferably Italian or French) Choose your preferred type of bread.
  • 4 slices cheese (cheddar or your choice) Experiment with different cheese types for varied flavor.
  • to taste salt

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a small bowl, mix softened butter and garlic powder until well combined.
  • Spread the garlic butter mixture on one side of each slice of bread.

Cooking

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place two slices of bread, buttered side down, in the skillet.
  • Add a slice of cheese on top of each bread slice.
  • Top with the remaining slices of bread, buttered side up.
  • Cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown. Flip carefully and cook the other side until the cheese is melted and the bread is crispy.

Serving

  • Serve hot, right off the skillet.
  • Pairs wonderfully with a side of soup or a simple salad.

Notes

If you have leftovers, store in an airtight container in the fridge for about 1-2 days. Reheat in a skillet over low heat or use a toaster oven for best results. Avoid the microwave.
