Pasta

  • 12 oz Fettuccine

Shrimp and Sauce

  • 1 lb Shrimp Fresh or thawed if frozen
  • 4 cloves Garlic Use fresh for best flavor
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese Grated, for garnishing
  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • 1/4 cup Juice of Lemon
  • 1/4 cup Lemon Zest
  • 2 tbsp Cooking Oil For frying
  • Sea Salt To taste
  • Black Pepper To taste

Preparation

  • In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the fettuccine pasta until al dente, then drain well and set aside.

Cooking

  • In a pan, heat the cooking oil over medium heat. Cook the garlic until fragrant, about 2 minutes.
  • Melt the butter in the same pan, then add the shrimp. Stir occasionally until the shrimp turn opaque white with some pink, which should take about 4-6 minutes.
  • Add the lemon juice, lemon zest, parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Stir until combined and the parmesan cheese is melted.
  • Transfer the fettuccine into the pan and stir until evenly distributed. Garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

Serve hot, garnished with freshly chopped parsley. Pairs beautifully with a side salad or crusty bread. A sprinkle of extra parmesan on top enhances the flavors.
