  • 500 g fresh prawns, cleaned and deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped spring onions (scallions) for garnish
  • 1 pinch sugar (optional)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Rinse the prawns thoroughly and pat them dry.

Cooking

  • Heat the cooking oil in a wok or frying pan over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant and lightly golden, about 1 minute.
  • Add the prawns to the wok and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
  • Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), and white pepper. Stir-fry for another minute.
  • Garnish with chopped spring onions and serve immediately with steamed rice.

Notes

Serve hot and pair with steamed rice or stir-fried vegetables. Customize with chili for added heat. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
