Preparation

  • Pat the scallops dry with a paper towel and season them with salt and pepper.

Cooking

  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter until it starts to foam.
  • Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Gently place the scallops in the skillet without overcrowding.
  • Cook the scallops for 2-3 minutes on one side until golden crust forms.
  • Flip the scallops and cook for another 2 minutes.
  • Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the scallops and stir gently to coat.
  • Garnish with parsley if desired.
  • Plate the scallops with garlic lemon butter sauce drizzled on top and serve.
