Ingredients
  

Broccoli Preparation

  • 1.5 lbs broccoli florets (from 1 large broccoli crown) Cut into similar-sized florets for even cooking

Flavor and Coating

  • 3 tbsp olive oil Divided usage
  • 2 tsp garlic powder (or garlic granules)
  • 2 tbsp canned Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs Use gluten-free breadcrumbs if preferred
  • 1/2 tsp Kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 3 tbsp fresh grated Parmesan cheese For topping
  • Pinch crushed red pepper flakes Adjust to taste

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 450°F.
  • Drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil on a rimmed baking sheet.
  • Spread the broccoli florets in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Sprinkle the canned Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper over the broccoli.
  • Drizzle with the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil and toss to coat the florets evenly.
  • Sprinkle freshly grated Parmesan cheese and crushed red pepper flakes on top.
  • Roast in the oven until golden and tender, about 15 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and serve immediately.

Notes

Best served hot right out of the oven. Pairs well with grilled meat, pasta, or grain bowls. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for best texture.
