  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper Adjust according to taste.
  • Vegetable oil For frying, ensure enough for submerging the onion rings.

Preparation

  • Slice the onions into rings and separate them into individual pieces.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Gradually whisk in the beer until the batter is smooth and thick.

Cooking

  • Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat until it reaches about 350°F.
  • Dip each onion ring into the batter, making sure they are fully coated.
  • Carefully place the battered onion rings into the hot oil and fry in batches for 2 to 4 minutes, until golden brown.
  • Remove the onion rings and let them drain on paper towels.

Notes

For extra crispy onion rings, let the batter sit for 10-15 minutes before using. Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in the oven.
