  • 3 cups white sugar
  • 2 cups unsalted butter, softened Make sure butter is at room temperature.
  • 6 large eggs
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour Measure correctly to avoid density issues.
  • 2/3 cup whole milk

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a bundt pan.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the sugar and softened butter until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Gradually add the flour alternately with the milk, starting and ending with the flour.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan.

Baking

  • Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For a richer flavor, consider adding a teaspoon of vanilla extract. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days or freeze for longer storage.
