Ingredients
  

For the Hash Brown Base

  • 3 cups frozen shredded hash browns, thawed You can opt for fresh ones too if you like!

For the Filling

  • 1 cup cooked ham, diced Use leftover or deli ham.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese This cheese melts beautifully and adds great flavor.
  • 4 large eggs These help bind everything together.
  • 1/4 cup milk Essential for a creamy egg mixture.
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder Adds depth of flavor.
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder Enhances overall savoriness.
  • to taste salt and pepper Essential seasonings for any dish.
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions Optional for garnish.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Lightly grease a muffin tin with cooking spray or butter.
  • Press thawed hash browns into the bottom and sides of each muffin cup.

Baking the Hash Brown Base

  • Bake the hash brown cups for about 15 minutes or until lightly golden.

Preparing the Filling

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  • Stir in the diced ham and half of the shredded cheddar cheese.

Filling the Cups

  • Carefully remove the hash brown cups from the oven and pour the egg and ham mixture into each cup.
  • Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top.

Final Baking

  • Bake for another 15–20 minutes until the eggs are set and the cheese is melted.
  • Allow to cool slightly before removing from the muffin tin.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions if desired.

Serving

  • Carefully remove the cups from the muffin tin and serve on a platter.

Notes

These cups can be customized with different cheeses or vegetables; leftover ham works great. They store well in an airtight container in the fridge.
