  • 1 cup cheese (cheddar or your choice), grated Sharp cheddar is recommended for a richer taste.
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash) Gives the pinwheels a beautiful golden color.
  • to taste salt and pepper Seasoning enhances the flavors.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface.
  • Evenly spread the diced ham over the pastry.
  • Spread the grated cheese over the ham.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Roll the pastry tightly to form a log.
  • Slice the log into pinwheels about 1 inch thick.
  • Place the pinwheels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Brush the tops with the beaten egg.

Baking

  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
