Ingredients
  

Crust

  • 1 pie crust 1 pie crust Store-bought or homemade

Filling

  • 6 large 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup 1 cup diced ham Leftover ham works great
  • 1 cup 1 cup shredded cheese Cheddar or Swiss
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup diced onion Optional
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Herbs (such as thyme or parsley, optional)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Roll out the pie crust and place it in a pie dish.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and heavy cream.
  • Add in the diced ham, cheese, onions (if using), salt, pepper, and herbs.
  • Pour the egg mixture into the pie crust.

Baking

  • Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the quiche is set and the top is golden.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Pairs well with a side salad or fresh fruit. Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days or frozen for up to 2 months. For best results, ensure the pie crust is fully baked to prevent sogginess. Experiment with different cheeses and add vegetables like spinach for enhanced flavor.
