Main Ingredients

  • 1 can crescent roll dough Use refrigerated crescent roll dough.
  • 6 oz sliced ham
  • 6 oz sliced Swiss cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard Optional, can be omitted.
  • 1 each egg For egg wash.
  • to taste Sesame seeds Optional, for topping.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
  • Spread a little Dijon mustard on each triangle if using.
  • Place a slice of ham and a slice of Swiss cheese on the wide end of each triangle.
  • Roll up each triangle starting from the wide end to the point.

Baking

  • Place the crescent bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Beat the egg and brush it over each crescent bite. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top if desired.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Serving

  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Make sure to not skip the egg wash; it gives the bites a lovely golden color. Feel free to mix and match the types of cheese or meats you use. If you want a little crunch, add diced veggies like bell peppers or onions inside the rolls.
