Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1/4 cup Bread Crumbs
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 medium Onion, finely chopped
  • To taste Salt and pepper

Gravy Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 2 cups Beef Broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Flour
  • 1 cup Onions, sliced

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, finely chopped onion, salt, and pepper.
  • Form the mixture into patties about half an inch thick.

Cooking

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Place the patties in the skillet and cook until browned on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side.
  • Remove patties and set aside on a plate.
  • In the same skillet, add sliced onions and cook until softened and golden, about 5 minutes.
  • Sprinkle flour over the onions and cook for a minute.
  • Gradually add beef broth while stirring constantly until thickened.
  • Stir in Worcestershire sauce and adjust salt and pepper to taste.
  • Return hamburger patties to the skillet and simmer in gravy for about 10 minutes.

Serving

  • Serve hot with rich gravy spooned over the patties.

Notes

For extra flavor, add minced garlic to the onions while sautéing. Let the patties rest before serving to retain juiciness.
