Ingredients
  

Pasta and Sauce Ingredients

  • 12 oz pappardelle pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef You can substitute with ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 14 oz can crushed tomatoes You can use fresh tomatoes (about 1.5 lbs) instead.
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning Adjust to taste.
  • to taste Salt & pepper
  • 1/2 cup beef broth or red wine Optional for added richness.

Garnishes

  • Parmesan, parsley & basil For serving.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Sauté onions in olive oil until soft. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  • Stir in ground beef and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat.

Cooking

  • Add tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, beef broth (or wine), and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 20–30 minutes.
  • Cook pappardelle pasta until al dente, then toss with the sauce.

Serving

  • Serve hot with fresh Parmesan, chopped parsley, and a basil leaf on top.

Notes

If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze the Bolognese sauce without pasta for up to 3 months.
