  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk

Preparation

  • In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add the chopped dried beef and sauté for a few minutes until heated through.
  • Stir in the flour and cook for about a minute to remove the raw flour taste.
  • Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
  • Season with salt and pepper to your taste.

Serving

  • Serve the creamy mixture over toasted bread.

Notes

Make sure to chop the dried beef into small pieces for even distribution in the sauce. Adjust seasoning to your liking. If you enjoy a kick, add cayenne pepper or hot sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add more milk to reach desired consistency.
