  • 1 medium Green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 cup Ketchup

  • Gather all your ingredients to ensure a smooth cooking process.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Break it apart and cook until fully browned, about 5-7 minutes.

  • Carefully drain any excess fat from the skillet.
  • Stir in the ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  • Turn the heat down to low and let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes.
  • Optionally, toast the hamburger buns under the broiler for a couple of minutes until golden brown.
  • Spoon the sloppy joe mixture onto the bottom half of each bun, then place the top half on.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy with your favorite sides.

Notes

Feel free to add fresh herbs or spices for a unique twist. Experiment with different sides like coleslaw or sweet potato fries for a great meal!
