Ingredients
  

For the Stromboli

  • 1 lb Pizza dough
  • 1 cup Marinara sauce Spread evenly over the dough
  • 1 cup Shredded mozzarella cheese For that gooey texture
  • 1/2 cup Sliced pepperoni Feel free to swap with other meats
  • 1/2 cup Cooked sausage (crumbled)
  • 1/2 cup Bell peppers (sliced) Adds color and crunch
  • 1/2 cup Onions (sliced)
  • 1 Egg (for egg wash) For a golden finish
  • To taste Italian seasoning Adds flavor profile
  • To taste Olive oil (for brushing)
  • To taste Parmesan cheese (optional, for topping)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • On a floured surface, roll out your pizza dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
  • Spread marinara sauce evenly over the dough, leaving about an inch along the edges.
  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  • Layer in sliced pepperoni and crumbled sausage.
  • Add sliced bell peppers and onions.
  • Sprinkle Italian seasoning over the top.
  • Carefully roll the dough tightly from one end to the other, sealing the edges.
  • Place the rolled Stromboli seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Beat the egg and brush it over the top of your Stromboli.
  • Make a few slits on the top to allow steam to escape.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.

Notes

Add fresh herbs like rosemary for added flavor. You can customize the filling according to preferences.
