Ingredients
  

Meatloaf Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2/3 cup Panko bread crumbs Can substitute with regular breadcrumbs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef Can substitute with ground turkey

Glaze Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon yellow mustard

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat together the eggs and milk.
  • Add the Panko bread crumbs, parsley, salt, pepper, onion powder, and basil. Stir to combine.
  • Add the ground beef to the bowl and mix by hand until everything is well blended.
  • Transfer the meatloaf mixture to a 9-inch x 5-inch loaf pan. Press it evenly into the pan and make sure the top is flat.

Baking

  • Bake in the oven for 1 hour.
  • Once baked, drain any excess grease from the pan.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard. Spread this glaze over the top of the meatloaf.
  • Bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving warm.

Notes

Slice the meatloaf into even portions and serve it warm. Pairs well with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
