Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes (if using). Set aside.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced sausage and cook for 4-5 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the shrimp, seasoned with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
  • Toss in the broccoli florets into the skillet. Sauté for about 4-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
  • Return the sausage and shrimp to the skillet with the broccoli, pour the honey garlic sauce over everything, and stir gently to coat. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Serve the honey garlic shrimp, sausage, and broccoli over cooked rice or quinoa, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

This dish is very versatile; feel free to customize with different vegetables or proteins. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
