  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, rice vinegar, black pepper, and salt.
  • Place the chicken thighs in the slow cooker and pour the honey garlic mixture over them.

Cooking

  • Cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
  • Optional: once done, remove chicken and place on a baking sheet; broil for a few minutes to caramelize the edges.

Serving

  • Serve the chicken garnished with chopped green onions and drizzled with the sauce from the slow cooker.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the honey garlic mixture for a few hours before cooking. Adjust the amount of honey and soy sauce based on your taste preferences. If you prefer skinless chicken, you can use boneless, skinless thighs instead, but check the cooking time as it may be shorter. You can add vegetables like carrots and bell peppers in the slow cooker for a complete one-pot meal.
