Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).

Mixing

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until combined.
  • In another bowl, beat the eggs, then mix in the melted butter, heavy cream, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Baking

  • Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, gently mixing to combine. Do not overmix.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Let the cake cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Serving
