Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef Use lean ground beef for a healthier option.
  • 1/2 lb ground mild Italian sausage Provides great flavor to the meatloaf.
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped Finely chop for even cooking.
  • 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
  • 1 tsp olive oil For sautéing the vegetables.
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce Adds depth of flavor.
  • 1 clove garlic, minced Fresh garlic is recommended.
  • 1/2 tsp oregano Dried oregano can be used.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the onion and bell pepper until softened.
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, Italian sausage, cooked vegetables, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, and oregano. Mix well.
  • Place the meat mixture into a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.

Cooking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  • Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Serve with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad. For extra flavor, add marinara sauce or grated cheese on top. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
