  • 4 pieces Jalapenos, halved Remove seeds for less heat.
  • 4 oz Cream Cheese Ensure it’s softened for easy spreading.
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 cup Shredded Monterey Jack Cheese
  • 4 slices Crispy Bacon Cooked and crumbled.

  • 4 slices Thick White Bread Use hearty bread.
  • 2 tbsp Butter For spreading on bread.

Preparation

  • Preheat Your Grill or Skillet to medium heat.
  • Slice your jalapenos in half lengthwise and carefully remove the seeds.
  • In a mixing bowl, blend the cream cheese until smooth and spreadable. Fill each jalapeno half with the cream cheese mixture.
  • In a skillet, fry your bacon until crispy, then crumble it into bits.

Assembly and Cooking

  • Take one slice of thick white bread and layer it with the jalapeno halves, sprinkle shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese, then add the crumbled bacon. Top with another slice of bread.
  • Spread butter on the outer sides of the sandwich.
  • Place the sandwich on the preheated grill or skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  • Remove from heat, slice in half, and serve while hot.

Notes

Consider adding fresh herbs like cilantro or parsley for added flavor. Let the sandwich rest after grilling to ensure the cheese settles nicely. This grilled cheese pairs well with creamy tomato soup or a fresh salad.
