  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Baking powder
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter (softened)
  • 4 large Large eggs
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 tablespoon Vanilla extract

Butter Sauce Ingredients

  • 1 cup Sugar (for butter sauce)
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter (for butter sauce)
  • 1/4 cup Water (for butter sauce)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease your bundt pan generously.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
  • In another bowl, cream together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Alternate adding the dry mixture and milk into the butter and egg mixture, mixing until combined.
  • Add vanilla extract and stir until well incorporated.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan.

Baking

  • Bake for about 50 to 60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.

Preparing Butter Sauce

  • In a saucepan, melt the 1/2 cup of unsalted butter over medium heat.
  • Add in the sugar and water, bring to a gentle boil, and let simmer for a few minutes until it thickens slightly.

Serving

  • Once the cake cools for 10-15 minutes, poke holes in the top with a skewer.
  • Pour the warm butter sauce over the top, allowing it to soak in for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

For an extra touch, sprinkle powdered sugar on top or serve with whipped cream and fresh berries.
