Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup Unsalted butter (softened) Allows for better control of saltiness.
  • 3/4 cup Granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup Brown sugar (packed) Adds moisture and chewiness.
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 2 Large eggs Use room temperature for better blending.

Chocolate Chips

  • 2 cups Chocolate chips Semi-sweet or mix of chocolate types.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Gradually blend in the dry ingredients into the butter-sugar-egg mixture.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Let cool in the pan on a wire rack before cutting into squares.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature ingredients and do not overmix. Adjust baking time according to your oven.
