Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 3 pieces salmon fillets (about 6 oz. each, skin on or off)
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 4 tbsp butter For the sauce
  • 1 tbsp freshly chopped parsley For garnish
  • 1 small garlic clove (minced)
  • 2 tbsp avocado oil (or olive oil) For searing the salmon
  • 1 tsp Old Bay Seasoning (or to taste)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Heat the avocado oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Season the salmon fillets with Old Bay Seasoning and sear them in the skillet, skin-side down first. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  • In a separate small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add minced garlic and lemon juice, stirring until combined.
  • Once the salmon is cooked, drizzle the lemon butter sauce over the salmon.
  • Remove from heat, garnish with freshly chopped parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the salmon in lemon juice and Old Bay Seasoning for 30 minutes before cooking. Adjust lemon juice to taste; more juice gives a brighter flavor. Ensure the skillet is hot before adding the salmon for a nice sear. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
