For the cod

  • 4 pieces cod fillets The star of our dish! Fresh cod is flaky and mild in flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Adds richness and helps the spices stick to the fish.
  • 1 piece lemon Zested and juiced to enhance the flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper A key seasoning that adds warmth.
  • 1 teaspoon salt Essential for bringing out flavors.
  • 2 cloves garlic Minced for aromatic quality.
  • to taste fresh parsley For garnish.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a small bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, black pepper, salt, and minced garlic. Stir well.
  • Place cod fillets on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Brush the marinade over each cod fillet.

Cooking

  • Bake the cod in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes or until it flakes easily.
  • Remove from the oven, let it breathe for a minute, and sprinkle with fresh parsley.

Serving

  • Plate the cod, drizzle any remaining juices from the baking sheet over the top, and serve with extra lemon wedges.

Notes

Don’t overcook the fish to avoid dryness. Feel free to customize with spices like cayenne pepper. Presentation is key!
